TEL AVIV — Dropping a nuclear weapon on Gaza is "one of the possible options," Amihai Eliyahu, an Israeli minister from the extremist Otzma Yehudit party, said one of Israel’s options in the war in Gaza is to drop a nuclear bomb on the Strip.اضافة اعلان

Asked whether a nuclear bomb should be dropped on Gaza as Israel intensifies attack, the Heritage Minister Eliyahu said “this is one of the possibilities.”

However, he is not part of the security cabinet formed to make wartime decisions, nor does he have any influence to direct the war cabinet's actions against Hamas.

This is not the first time nuclear weapons have been suggested. On October 11, Knesset Member Tally Gotliv, from the Likud party, posted several messages on X, formerly known as Twitter, calling for “violent revenge.”

Gotliv wrote: "Jericho missile! Jericho missile! Strategic alert. Before thinking about deploying forces. Doomsday weapon! This is my opinion", referring to nuclear weapons.

She added in another post: "I urge you to do everything and use the doomsday weapons fearlessly against our enemies", adding that Israel "must use everything in its arsenal".
