Why China relations need the guardrails on them
Beijing chafes at any constraints on its power. But its important that other countries keep trying to persuade China to accept some rules of engagement.

Referencing US President Joe Biden’s call for “guardrails” to enable the “responsible management” of competition between China and the US, she said it was “in all the world’s interests” that Biden’s overtures were met by Beijing.
